Sabre Paris: Color, French bistro feel and cutlery to delight

There are details that can change the whole feel of a table. A colorful cutlery next to a simple plate. A small espresso spoon that makes coffee time a little more elegant. A cheese knife that can be left out when friends come over.

Sabre Paris is one such brand. Playful, French and full of personality. Exactly the kind of design that makes everyday life more fun without feeling artificial.

A love story that began around the table

The story of Sabre Paris begins in 1992 when Pascale and Francis Gelb met. They were both lovers of life with a special interest in the table setting. Francis came from a family of goldsmiths and had learned the craft from scratch. Together they began to think about how such an everyday object as cutlery could gain more color, freedom and character.

The first ideas took shape in the couple's apartment in Paris. The ambition was clear from the start. They wanted to create something playful and unexpected that would break with rigid table settings and formal rules.

In 1993, Francis was commissioned to design a knife with a technically demanding square bolster. The collection was named Sabre and later became the name of the entire brand. Thus began a journey that has been about elegance, color and joy for more than three decades.

Less rules, more personality

What we love so much about Sabre Paris is that the cutlery has a place to be. They are not just practical utensils that happen to be next to the plate. They become part of the table setting and a way to show who you are.

Sabre was early to encourage mix and match. Colors, patterns and materials can come together freely. You can choose a cohesive set of dishes in a favorite color or mix several shades around the same table. There is no right or wrong. Only what feels good in your home.

The Bistrot collection is inspired by classic French cafes, restaurants and terraces. The shiny handles and visible rivets give the cutlery a familiar bistro feel, while the colors make the expression modern and personal.

Some Sabre favorites at Mon Bistro

Sabre Cutlery Set Pink is a 24-piece cutlery set with six dinner knives, six forks, six soup spoons and six teaspoons. The set is handmade in France with 18/10 stainless steel and shiny acrylic handles. The light pink color is soft yet expressive. So nice with white porcelain, colored glass or a tablecloth with a pattern.

The small Sabre Little Espresso Spoon is another favorite. They are designed for small coffee cups but work just as well for jam or a small dessert. At Mon Bistro they are available in many colors. This makes them perfect to collect and mix according to mood.

We also really like the Sabre Cheese Knife. It has the same clear Bistrot expression with a shiny handle, visible rivets and stainless steel. A small detail that makes the cheese tray extra inviting and that will be happy to accompany you from weekday dinner to the long weekend evening around the table.

That's why Sabre Paris is at Mon Bistro

At Mon Bistro we don't choose products just because they follow a trend or sell well. We choose things we want to live with. Things that are used over and over again and become a natural part of everyday life.

Sabre Paris fits that idea so well. The cutlery is made to be used from breakfast to dinner. They combine function with joy and make it easy to create a personal home. They also remind us of something we truly believe in. That color makes people happier and that table setting is a way to show consideration.

For us, a nice table is not reserved for big celebrations. It can just as easily be an ordinary Tuesday with pasta, lit candles and someone you like opposite. Sabre Paris helps capture that very feeling. A little French bistro, a lot of personality and design that can be a part of life.

Choose a color you love or mix freely. The most important thing is that the table feels like yours.

Welcome to discover Sabre Paris at Mon Bistro.
