A pot holder handmade by designer Oscar Cedon that feels as much like a small interior detail as it does a practical kitchen accessory. With its organic expression, it is a detail that can be left in front of the coffee table, café table or dining table even when not in use.
The pot stand is made of certified cork from Portugal and is produced locally in Gothenburg. Cork is a natural and sustainable material that is harvested without the need to cut down the tree. The material is biodegradable, recyclable and appreciated for its lightness, heat resistance and natural structure.
Behind the design is the Swedish designer Oscar Cedon who runs his own design studio and previously worked at Wingårdhs where he designed both products and furniture. His design language combines playfulness, organic shapes and sustainable material choices with local production in the attic of his townhouse in Gothenburg. Oscar Cedon's logo can be found on the back of all his products.
The coasters consist of two different types of cork glued together. The top layer is 1 mm and has an organic pattern, the bottom layer is "regular cork". This makes it possible to mill patterns into the cork, as there is a contrast between the two different types of cork.
